Quickstart
Welcome to AppReply, the way mobile app teams manage reviews at scale
In the next 15 minutes (grab that coffee ☕), you’ll go from manual review chaos to a fully automated, AI-assisted review management flow – one that speaks your users’ language, stays on-brand, and improves over time the more you reply.
Prerequisites: before you begin, create an account with your work email and complete onboarding.
Getting started
After you complete the onboarding process, your organization will be set up, and your first app will be added.
Add remaining mobile apps
Head to the Applications section of your dashboard and click Add new app:
From here, just type your app name or paste your app’s URL — whether it’s from Google Play or the App Store — and AppReply will automatically fetch your metadata: name, icon, average rating, and more. You’ll immediately see your reviews populate inside the dashboard.
Got multiple apps? Add them one at a time. AppReply keeps everything in one unified inbox, no matter how many titles you manage.
The URL format to use in case your app is not available in all regions:
Google Play example
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yourapp
App Store example
https://apps.apple.com/app/your-app/id123456789
Integrate with app stores
At this stage, you can already see reviews and preview responses inside AppReply — but to make replies automated, you’ll need to integrate your store accounts.
Integration unlocks Real-Time Reviews Feed (by default, AppReply will show only publicly available reviews) and the ability to post (auto-) replies.
Click on your app’s platform tile to learn more about how to integrate your app:

Not ready to integrate yet? You can still draft personalized replies, test AI output, and set up your automations in preview mode.
Migrating from AppFollow, ASODesk, AppTweak, or any other legacy review management tool? You can simply upload the same Google Play service account JSON key or Individual API key in .p8 format to AppReply. Easy-peasy!
Define your voice – with templates, prompts, and AppReply MAX
Now that your reviews are flowing in, it’s time to shape how you respond.
Inside the Templates section, you’ll create folders for different review types (like “Support” or “Praise”) and add reusable replies for common situations – from thanking users for 5-star reviews to acknowledging bugs or feature requests.
Prefer flexibility over fixed messages? You can also use AI prompts to guide the tone and content of your replies. Simply describe how you want the response to sound – friendly, apologetic, grateful, professional – and AppReply’s AI will take care of the rest.
And if you’re using AppReply MAX, you don’t even need to start from scratch. MAX learns how your team responds – both from past replies when you first connect your app, and from ongoing manual responses in the Reviews Feed. Over time, it generates replies that sound like you wrote them yourself: accurate on facts, on-brand, and increasingly effortless.

Automate your replies
With your templates and tone in place, it’s time to let AppReply handle the busywork.
In the Automations tab, you can set up rules that trigger replies based on specific conditions – like rating, language, keywords, or platform. For example, you might thank users for 5-star reviews, ask to increase review rating to 5 stars, or acknowledge reports that mention bugs or crashes.
Each rule lets you choose how to respond:
- Use a saved template
- Provide a custom AI prompt
- Or, if you’ve upgraded to Pro, let AppReply MAX generate enhanced replies based on your own manual response history
AppReply MAX analyzes how your team responds — both past and present — and adapts its AI replies to match your voice. It pulls from your previous responses (when you first add the app), and learns continuously as you reply manually in the Reviews Feed. Over time, your automation gets more contextual, more accurate, and more human — with far less editing required.
Note: Enhanced AI learning via MAX is available on the Pro plan. Start free trial to unlock smarter, brand-aware automation at scale.
Start simple with one rule – like replying to all 5-star reviews – and then expand as you go. Your app review automation now runs in the background, turning every review into a personalized moment.

Test and launch
Before switching on full automation, take a moment to review your setup.
Preview each automation rule to make sure the conditions match your intent. Check that templates read naturally, AI-generated replies sound human, and the tone aligns with your brand. If you’re using AppReply MAX, look for how it’s already adapting to your style — especially if you’ve been replying manually in the Reviews Feed.
We recommend starting with a single app and one or two automation rules. Let it run for 24–48 hours, monitor the results, and fine-tune based on real-world reviews.
The Reviews Feed is your live control center — where you can reply manually, collaborate with teammates, and see how automated replies perform in context. Every manual response you submit here makes AppReply MAX smarter, helping future replies feel even more natural and team-aligned.
Once you’re confident, expand your coverage. You’ll notice how little by little, the need to intervene drops — but the quality stays high.
🎉 You’re now live. Your reply system is working in the background, responding in your voice, and getting better with every review.
What’s next?
Now that your basic automation is up and running, you’ve laid the foundation for a smarter, more scalable review workflow. Your replies are going out automatically, your voice is consistent, and AppReply MAX is learning with every interaction.
From here, you can start layering in more advanced strategies – like handling feature requests, replying in multiple languages, or refining tone with AI rephrasing and translation.
And you don’t have to do it alone. Invite your teammates to join your workspace so you can share templates, manage replies together in the Reviews Feed, and keep your brand voice aligned across the team.
The more your team collaborates, the faster AppReply MAX learns — and the better your reviews will reflect the care you put into your app.
Ready to grow together? Let’s go. 🚀
