# Claude (MCP)

> Connect Claude to AppReply to ask questions about your reviews, insights, knowledge base, and the public app stores

AppReply has a remote MCP server, so you can add it to Claude as a custom connector. Once connected, you can ask Claude things like "what are today's unreplied 1-star reviews?" or "how does our rating compare to our top competitors?" and Claude pulls the answer from AppReply and the public app stores.

The connector is **read-only**. Claude can look things up, but it cannot reply to reviews, approve drafts, or change any settings.

## Connect Claude

    In Claude, open **Settings > Connectors** and choose **Add custom connector**. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add it for the organization first.

    Name the connector (for example, "AppReply") and use this URL:

    ```
    https://appreply.co/mcp
    ```

    Leave the OAuth client fields empty. Claude registers itself automatically.

    Click **Connect**. A window opens on appreply.co. Sign in if you aren't already.

    The consent screen shows which app is asking for access and where you'll be sent back to. Pick the AppReply organization Claude should read, then click **Allow access**.

  Each connection reads **one organization**. To use a different organization, disconnect and connect again, choosing the other one.

## What Claude can do

### Your AppReply data

These tools only read the organization you chose when connecting.

| `list_connected_apps` | Your own apps (competitor apps aren't included), with their AppReply ID, store ID, platform, and monitored countries |
| `search_reviews` | Reviews AppReply has collected, newest first. Filter by text, app, or exact star rating (up to 50) |
| `list_unreplied_reviews` | Reviews that don't have a reply yet, newest first. Filter by app or a maximum star rating (up to 50) |
| `get_review_insights` | Recent [insights](/analytics/insights) that haven't been dismissed, with title, summary, and severity (up to 30) |
| `search_knowledge_base` | The five closest passages from your [knowledge base](/knowledge-base/overview) for a question. Requires an app |
| `get_version_history` | Release history AppReply has stored for an app, or the current store listing if there's none |

### Public app store research

These tools work for any app on Google Play or the App Store, not just yours. Most accept a country (default `us`) and a language (default `en`).

| `get_similar_apps` | Related apps. On iOS this is based on the app's genre or developer |
| `get_developer_info` | A developer's app portfolio |
| `get_pricing_details` | Price, in-app purchases, and monetization model. In-app purchase details are Android only |
| `analyze_top_keywords` | The top apps for a keyword, how concentrated the brands are, and the rating mix |
| `get_keyword_scores` | Estimated difficulty and traffic scores for a keyword |
| `suggest_keywords` | Search suggestions for a keyword (up to 30) |

Store research covers Google Play and the App Store only. Reviews from Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery, and RuStore are available through your AppReply data tools if those apps are connected.

## Access and security

* Claude gets a short-lived access token, renewed automatically for up to 30 days of inactivity. After that, Claude asks you to connect again.
* Every request checks that you're still a member of the organization. If you're [removed from the organization](/administration/user-roles), the connector stops working right away.
* To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude's **Settings > Connectors**.

## Troubleshooting

    The authorization request is valid for 10 minutes. Start again from **Connect** in Claude.

    You need to belong to an AppReply organization before you can connect. Accept your invite or finish onboarding first.

  <Accordion title="Claude says it can't find an app" icon="circle-exclamation">
    Tools about your own data take the AppReply app ID from `list_connected_apps`, not the store ID. Ask Claude to list your connected apps first.
